Comparison

Cafca alternative: Instalvo and Cafca compared

Cafca is an established software package for Belgian installation companies. Instalvo is newer and built around heating, heat pump and air conditioning maintenance. Here is how the two compare, using Cafca’s own published information.

Before you read the table

Instalvo is in development and opens to pilot companies first. The Instalvo column describes what the product is being built to do. The Cafca column only repeats what Cafca says on its own website, read on 14 October 2026. Where their site says nothing, the table says so rather than guessing.

What Cafca is

Cafca Software, based in Lommel and part of the Aceve group, has made software for installation companies since 2000 and says it serves more than 1,200 of them. It covers several trades beyond HVAC, is sold as separate modules, and exists both as a cloud version and as a Windows version.

Where Instalvo is different

  • Built for one kind of company: those that install and maintain heating, heat pumps and air conditioning, rather than for several building trades at once.
  • Walloon maintenance and combustion certificates come first, filled straight from the readings taken during the visit.
  • An interface in English as well as French and Dutch, for teams that do not all share one language.
  • A quote turns into a planned job and then an invoice, with nothing typed twice.
  • Pilot companies use it free for three months and decide with us what gets built next.
To be fair

When Cafca may suit you better

  • You also do electrical, security or roofing work and want one package for all of it.
  • You need certificates sent to VEKA today.
  • You need incoming Peppol invoices handled in the same tool.
  • You want a product already used by many companies, rather than one in development.
