Frequently asked questions
These are the questions that keep coming back. Where the answer is "not decided yet" or "not in the first release", it says so: a product in development is also judged on what it refuses to promise.
The pilot programme
What is the pilot programme, exactly?
A limited number of Belgian installation companies use Instalvo free for three months, with full access to the product, their data brought across with them, and direct contact with the founder. Their priorities go first on the roadmap for that period.
What is asked in return?
Real use and honest feedback: using the product for real work, saying what is wrong, and accepting a half-hour conversation every few weeks. No money, no promotional testimonial, no exclusivity.
Are we committed after the three months?
No. There is nothing to cancel and nothing to pay, and a full export of your data is available at any moment, including on the last day.
Who can be a pilot?
HVAC and plumbing installation companies established in Belgium, four to thirty people, with a real service base. The pilot programme page also says who it does not suit yet, which is at least as useful.
Pricing
What will Instalvo cost?
It is not decided. We do not want to show an invented figure to fill a box: it would be misleading for you and useless for us. The price will be settled before the first pilots end, and pilot companies will know it before anyone else, with time to say no.
Why is there no pricing page?
Because it would lie. A pricing page published today would give numbers we would change in six months, after you had made your decision on them. We would rather say "not yet" on a page you read than "from" on a page you believe.
Will the price depend on the number of users?
That is the most likely working assumption for a company of four to thirty people, but it is not settled. It is exactly the kind of choice pilot companies will influence.
Your data and hosting
Can we bring across the data from our current software?
That is the intention, and it is one of the first pieces of work in the pilot programme. We start from an export of your current software or your spreadsheet, with your customers, sites, installations and contracts, rather than making you type everything again. The exact format depends on which tool you are coming from, which is precisely why we want pilots early and not after launch.
Where is the data hosted?
With a hosting provider located in the European Union. The precise provider and region will be settled and written on the privacy page before pilot accounts open; we do not want to announce a name we would then change.
Can we take our data with us if we leave?
Yes, as a full export, at any moment. It is in the first release and it is not negotiable: software that makes leaving hard is compensating for a quality problem with a lock.
Who on your side can see our data?
One person, and only where that is necessary to answer a support request or fix a problem you have reported. There is no team for that access to be opened up to by accident, which is one of the few concrete advantages of a one-person outfit.
The product day to day
Does Instalvo handle Peppol and electronic invoicing?
Yes for sending, and it is in the first release: your invoices go out over Peppol. Since 1 January 2026, VAT-registered businesses established in Belgium have had to send each other structured electronic invoices for their business-to-business transactions, over the Peppol network.
Does it work without signal, in a cellar?
Yes. The app works offline: the day's round and everything entered stay available without signal, and are sent as soon as the connection returns.
What languages does the product exist in?
French, Dutch and English. The language is chosen per user for the interface, and separately per customer for their documents and emails: a Dutch-speaking customer gets their invoice in Dutch even if your office works in French.
Is there an app to install on the phones?
Yes: one app, for iOS and Android, installed from the App Store or Google Play. It works offline and keeps everything entered until the signal returns.
Does Instalvo replace our accountant?
No, and that is not the goal. Instalvo raises and sends your sales invoices and tracks what has been paid; the accounts stay with your accountant. The CSV and UBL export is in the first release for that reason.
How is Instalvo different from Cafca, InstaMobile or Powerges?
Each comparison sets the two side by side, topic by topic, using only what the other company publishes on its own website. It also says where the other product may suit you better than Instalvo.

Belgian rules and documents
Which regulatory certificates are covered?
The first release covers the Walloon documents for gas and oil boilers, combustion side included. Flanders and Brussels have their own forms, their own frequencies and their own approvals; they come afterwards.
What if we work in Flanders or Brussels?
The product works everywhere in Belgium for customers, planning, jobs and invoicing. It is the regional regulatory documents that start with Wallonia. If your installed base is mostly Flemish or Brussels, say so when you apply: that is the kind of information that decides the order we build in.
Does Instalvo guarantee our invoices are compliant?
No, and nobody should promise that. Instalvo applies the VAT treatment you have set for the customer and the job, and writes the matching legal wording in its current version. Checking that the conditions are genuinely met stays your responsibility.
Timeline
When does the first release come out?
Early 2027 is the target. That is a target, not a contractual promise, and we would rather write it that way.
When do pilots get access?
Before the public release. The exact date depends on progress, and companies on the list are told by email when a place opens for them.
What if the timeline slips?
You will hear it by email, and you will hear it before it is visible anywhere else. A date slipping is not a disaster; finding out by noticing nothing is happening, is.
Follow Instalvo, or build it with us.
Leave your email to hear when Instalvo is available. Want to go further? The first pilot companies use it free for three months and decide with us what gets built next.
